Is it a search that visitors can use?

No, this is a global search for WP-Admin which is backend dashboard of your WordPress or WooCommerce installation. It is accessible only to users with correct permissions.

How does it work?

After installation click a "magnifying glass" icon in the top bar or click "ctrl + shift + F" to open search palette. Start typing the name or content of what you want to find and then select one of the results to navigate directly to the found item.

Is it a free plugin?

Yes, the main version come as a free WordPress plugin that is available in official WordPress.org directory.
